For those of you think that the only way to build a website is with coding, then think again. It is quite possible to build a website with no coding at all. There are several sites online, some free and some paid that will provide you with already coded templates to create your own website.

The best way to find the right site for you is to check out the features it provides. You could also go on the basis of recommendations and online reviews. You will also need to assess all your requirements as part of your research to know what will best suit you. Once you narrow down on the site of your choice, look through all the applications that come with it. This is the process in general that you will then have to follow.

For starters, register yourself on the site. Every site will have a prominently featured register button that you can make use of. You will have to put in the usual information about yourself, first and last name, contact details etc. Once this is done, most sites allow you to choose a sub-domain. If you already have a domain, then you can skip this step. Most of the non-coding sites these days give you a feel of web 2.0, so you don’t have to worry about the look and feel of your site. It will be current and up to date.

If yours’ is a product based site then you will have to choose the kind of revenue modules you want at this stage. This means, besides your home page, you will also want your product, any text based advertising, job listings and the presence of local directories to help generate revenue for you.

Once this is done, you could also try and include options for affiliate programs, pay-per-click (PPC) based advertising. Generally the site you turn to will do this for you for a percentage of your earnings, which is of course a small price to pay. Once you have these technicalities out of the way, you will have to move to the actual layout of your site. This is where you figure out if a two column, three columns or more would suit your needs. You will also have to figure out placements and the like. Go with something that is user-friendly and something you would be attracted to if you were visiting the site.

Once all of these are put together in a color scheme of your choice, you are set to go.
